Community Service > Toys for Toddlers
Hundreds of hours of preparation go into making the holiday season one to remember. Baking, cooking, decorating, and of course, gift buying. Consider adding one more person to the list. Buy a gift for a less fortunate child in your community, donate it to Toys for Toddlers, and make the holidays just a little brighter for a less fortunate child.
Toys for Toddlers is a gift-sharing program sponsored by participating Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper parts stores across the U.S. Parts stores serve as official drop-off sites for new, unwrapped toy donations during November and December. Toy donations can be for any age child, and are organized through local social service agencies to sort, organize and deliver toys to the children most in need since they are best qualified to identify the disadvantaged children in the community.
"So often we forget there are families who are not able to provide toys for their children during the holiday season. Compared to food, clothing and shelter, buying toys is low on the priority list when money is tight," said Steve Marks, senior vice president of marketing and advertising for Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper. "We want to help those parents and caregivers provide a special gift to their children. It gives the child hope for the future, and lets them know that their neighbors care."
